'We've got our best minds working on this case'...

What a stellar investigation team this must have been.

Too right!

Totally agree ... they must use this movie as a training film for rural police departments judging from a whole lot of movies.

I really like this film. I know some people pull the plot apart...

As for the title, some people wonder what or who the invisible ghost is.

The invisible ghost is of Kessler's wife's lover, who was killed in the car crash. Inly Dr Kessler can see him, and when he sees him he goes into a homicidal frenzy.

Yes it is just a theory.

What do you think the title refers to?

i think the title refers to the lack of creativity in the film. since there is none, the ghost is invisible. the filmmakers are as inspired and intelligent as the detectives they portray, and the film suffers for this reason. the only fun is watching that nut lugosi stumble around bug-eyed and accented.

I think there is quite a few original things in this film. For a start the Hero gets killed off quite early - he's replaced by his twin. I also like the way the black butler is treated - he is treated no differently than a white butler.

I liked this movie too. The butler was actually my favorite character. Smart, and calm, none of that 'feets don't fail me now!" silly stuff. And the other characters did not talk down to him. If you overlook the silly flaws, it is a fun movie.

Push the button, Max!

I'll give him 20 more minutes-and that's it!- Airplane!

I really like this movie, but I recognize that it's actually pretty bad.

The fiance quickly being convicted and excecuted is in no way believable. It's just so silly that they pin the murder of the maid on the fiance, a murder that is pretty much identical to another murder that happened in that house in the past. They don't have any evidence that the guy did it, just a motive. But that is somehow enough to say without a shred of doubt that he is the murder. And then the next indentical murder, the cops never go "Oh wow, we probably excecuted the wrong guy." And they never even question that maybe the head of the house is possibly the murderer.

And then the fiance's twin brother shows up and pretty much replaces the first guy! They did the same thing in Beerfest! "It's like Phil never even died!"

I know I just reemed this movie, but that's why I like it so much. It's just so silly.

Nothing bothers some people...not even flying saucers

Does anyone know the name of the movie about the case being worked by the worst minds in that police department?
I would love to see it. I imagine it stars Bela Lugosi too.
