I just saw the movie. How do you mean? It always seems to play when Betty Grable is feeling romantic. On the other hand, the "Wizard of Oz" theme of "there's no place like home" rings true in this movie, and also has ironic effect since the sister is found dead in her apartment, and the promoter is on the lam.

Hello Don-Lockwood,

Laird Cregar plays the bad guy here, named Cornell.

"Over The Rainbow" features in the 1939 movie "The Wizard Of Oz."
It also plays in "I Wake Up Screaming."

As we know, the Wizard was portrayed by the actor Frank Morgan.
Frank Morgan attended CORNELL University.

I kind of thought that was the case, but wasn't paying close enough attention. I love this film, but at some point during the second half I was rolling my eyes because of how "Over The Rainbow" was playing again. Prior to that I did enjoy the mash-up of that song with the other tunes.

I'll have to remember to think of it that way next time I watch it :)

Mag, Darling, you're being a bore.
