Music....

In addition to the odd "Over the Rainbow" theme that keeps playing, did anyone else catch whole patches of the orchestrations from "Kiss of Death"? "Kiss of Death" also starred Mature, which is odd.

If you get a chance to check it out, when Mature is in the apartment with the dead body, before her sister walks in, the music playing is the recurring theme of "Kiss of Death", particularly the music at the end of KOD.

This theme is Alfred Newman's "Street Scene", first used in the 1931 film of the same name.

It was later used in several Fox crime films such as "I Wake Up Screaming", "Kiss of Death", "Cry of the City", "The Dark Corner", and "Where the Sidewalk Ends".

Also it was played by the on-screen orchestra in the pre-title sequence of "How To Marry a Millionaire"

Thank you, George. I've seen "Street Scene" and "How To Marry a Millionaire" and when I heard that music in "I Wake Up Screaming" it was driving me nuts trying to figure out where I've heard it.

However, I feel like I remembered the music from one of those TV shows that spoofs classic films/film noir. The TV show "Charmed" did that in an episode and that one just happens to be on TNT Tuesday morning, so I'll see if that music is in it http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0539343

I recorded "Kiss of Death" last night so hopefully I'll get to see it today.

Mag, Darling, you're being a bore.
