The film traditionally aired during christmas?

I am curious whether it is being usually aired during the holidays, and where. I would say symbolically it would be a perfect film for those last few days of the year. The film works on many levels, and can be applied to any era, any culture, prompting people to look back, to reminisce, to be grateful what we have, and where we came from.
