An Animated Classic!!!

I first saw this on TV when I was a kid back in the late 1970's (I was 8 in 1980), and I absolutely loved it. Id forgotten its name for so many years, uuntil I came across a set of cheap animated DVDs which included Guulliver's Travels and the Superman cartoons from the 1930's/40's. I got tthis back in 2002 (here in Australia).

I watched this with my daughter and found fond memories within it. I have to say that it is a classic. I find that its more enjoyable than most Disney animated films.

I even enjoyed Gulliver's Travels and the Superman cartoons (all Max Fleicher animations).

Just wanted to let you all know that this movie is well loved in other parts of the world as well.

When I was a small boy in England, in the very early 1960s, my parents woke me up what seemed like the middle of the night to watch this movie on our black-and-white TV. It was kind of a big deal.

I was lucky to have watched this as a little boy in the late 1980s in the Phillippines. The story and beautiful animation stuck with me. I've forgotten about it when I move to the US but I just remembered it recently. I even forgot the title until I remembered the main characters name Hoppity.
