H.M. Pulham, Esq. Military Service
Was in the Army or Marines during WWI?
Remember when Van Heflin brought Young into his office and introduced him to Hedy, she said something about him being a Marine.
shareRemember when Van Heflin brought Young into his office and introduced him to Hedy, she said something about him being a Marine. If you look closely during the war scene you could see that actor John Raitt, from the Pajama Game.
shareAbout 1/2 hour in, he wrote that he was "with the A.E.F. in France." That could be Army or Marines.
shareI just watched the movie this morning so I took a good look at his uniform. He was wearing an Army uniform. He was wearing crossed muskets of the Army infantry. He was also wearing WW I Army overseas service chevrons on his left sleeve. (Since WW II they have been overseas bars). He was wearing three therefore he was overseas one and a half years.
