Wait, that's it? (spoilers)

First off, I did enjoy this movie.

But I couldn't tell who was who. They all wore the same outfit and had the same haircut. I felt like I was watching a WW2 movie about a platoon of privates played by Lyle Bettger, Alex Nicol, David Brian, Keith Andes, Tab Hunter, Troy Donahue, Grant Williams and Ty Hardin. It wasn't until the end that I realized Ooishi was the same guy as Kuranosuke.

There was no action. When they attack Kira's hideout, it's talked about, not shown. I suppose the 47 Ronin submitting to their fate at the end rather than staging a revolt was to show their samurai honor.

And what the heck did Kira do to evoke such hatred and widespread knowledge of his offense? All you see is him make a couple of snide remarks about Asano.

Once again, I did enjoy it. And I'm sure the same outfits and haircuts were to make things historically accurate. Don't get too mad at me, I could tell who was who in The Seven Samurai.
