I suppose he was a good actor but I always had a hard time getting past his persona. He seemed to be the epitome of the British snob. His high-brow, nasally, accent; His smooth, ultra-snobbish, superior attitude; his reserved, uptight, arrogant manner; always annoyed me. He's like a

I enjoy the Falcon series. They're pretty funny but the ones I've seen always required some explanation in the end. There was a lot of running around on screen but the crime seemed to be solved out of view. Also, I have a hard time watching them because whether it's him or his brother in the role I can't help but think about both their tragic lives and deaths.

It's always sad to hear that someone took their own life (or anyone's life). I think how horrible their life must have been to want to end it. In his case I don't know what to think. His suicide note said he was bored but it seems he had recently been taken by some woman. Then again, he had been telling people as far back as the 1930's that he would someday kill himself. It's all so very strange.

Perhaps you have not seen "Solomon and Sheba" with Yul Brynner and La Lolla.
Acting is so hammy and displays as much charisma as a plank of wood.
