How stupid can they be? These movies are classics.

Yeah, I heard about this. It is completely stupid, but Disney has always been one to cave to pressure very easily so it's sadly not surprising.

Conservatives have always had a hard time screwing together enough sustained outrage to organize a boycott and stick to it, and Disney knows this. Knowing that 20% of the people will have a problem with this phony racism, Disney caves in because those 20% will make their lives miserable. So Disney cancels these innocuous movies and the 80% who realizes how stupid censorship and wokism is go on social media and rants, but it will be over in a few weeks, and no boycott will be forthcoming.
It has one of those "culturally insensitive" warnings on it. It's dumb but you can still watch the movie on Disney plus just not under a kids profile.

It is even more stupid that they blocked "The Jungle Book" since there are no racial stereotypes in that movie.
But you can't convince some people that not all apes and monkeys in a cartoon are meant to be black people...
