I cant watch Dumbo without bawling

Cant watch Dumbo without sobbing!
So sad, him crying and picking grass after the clown scene is so moving - just want to hug the little guy and protect him. And shaking his little rattle whilst covered in water, whilst looking so sad. Then theres the Baby mine scene, oh god sobbing now.

Then the scene where he's crying in the corner and the bitch elephants are slagging him off. He looks happier as he crawls off to be with them and they turn their backs. Oh god soo sad!!

Such a heart wrenching film, reduces me to tears every time through out the whole film and when I watch it im not right for days. Watched it MOnday and still cant get his sobbing weepy face out of my head.
Want to gather him up and protect him.

I have the exact same reaction as you do. While the "Baby Mine" scene is very touching, the scenes where Dumbo is all alone and basically doesn't know what else to do are so pitiful and sad... I feel extremely protective towards him. And the scene you described where he is happy to see the other elephants, only for them to give him the brush off is heartrending.

The scene that gets to me the most is actually a happy/bittersweet scene, where little Dumbo is splashing around in the pool with his Mommy and he's so happy. The most perfect portrait of sweet innocence I've ever seen. It's soooo sweet and poignant. Like just for that moment, he doesn't have a care in the world and can enjoy being a baby. Yes, this movie makes me bawl, too. The fact that he is adorable as all get out just adds to the sweetness.

Baby Mine is so beautiful and sad it brings tears to my eyes. And I don't even have kids.

Straightedge means I'm better than you.

Fighting it myself, even knowing how it all turns out.

Everyone gets their comeuppance in the end; the bitch elephants, the ringmaster, the audience, but just watching it now and knowing 'Baby Mine' is coming up, I expect to burst.

HIs smile when he grabs Timothy by the tail cuz he feels like he's part of something just tears me up!

I'm just clinging to his mother having her private car at the end. It ends happy, but wow, what a journey!

Yes, the Baby Mine sequence always gets to me, too and I don't have kids either.

Just thinking about it makes me well-up.

Same here, this movie makes me cry more than any other movie I've ever seen. The part where his mom cradles him in her trunk and rocks him is where I always cry the most.

Before his mother was taken away from him, he was so happy. Nothing could hurt him or make him sad while he was with her, she protected him from the bitchy elephants and the brat who pulled on his ears. The mouse who took pity on him was a godsend but not quite the same as having a loving and protective mom.

Jane Richardson's the same way - as MrAngryDog on DeviantArt would have it.

I just got all choked up and teary eyed just thinking about the film. but it's such a great one, and this has one of the most satisfying happy endings ever. After all the horrible things he and his mum went through the ending is just so uplifting

Finished watching it half an hour ago and still can't stop sobbing.

First time I've seen it since I was a kid - a long time ago. Wonderful film.
