Well i binged on jekyll and hyde stuff recently, there's a crapton out there already and it was kindof hell sorting through to find the good ones [which were usually the extreme versions, or the very classy ones]. Guess they can try again, being made in the UK helps but they need a really good hook to seperate it from the crapton of other's out there

yea I know what your saying, I mean out of the ones films/TV shows which ones do you like personally and why?
O think it being made in UK is also a very good idea so thumbs up for that

The highest rated one is from 1931 pre-hayes code so it's best feature is it's maybe barely R-rated black and white movie and has a great looking gal being very revealing. I think think that's overrated though because the makeup isn't my favorite, it's spooky i guess but looks like a could find it at halloween city.

Made a music video of the 1941 version with Spencer Tracy and Ingrid Bergman. To me that's the classiest one I've seen so far and I like it because of that. It's very subtle all around especially the performances. There's minor issues but I can say that's my favorite straight version so far.

Out of the modern reinterpretations I watched [including a female Jacqueline Hyde] I choose 2006's The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde starring none other than Tony Todd aka candyman aka night of the living dead remake. This one was my favorite "find" because I lean towards modern movie's for some reason. It's a cheap movie, they go all out however in all other aspects [like Hyde turns into an Ape at some point], it's got my gore quotient, and there's gotta be nudity in it although it's difficult for me to remember through the insanity of it.

Yea see what you mean Ian, there must be some ones in the 70, 80's 90's you like?

you all ready for Xmas?

reply

Sry for the late reply, yea Xmas went okay watched Garden State and Broken Flower's movie's from back in my happier days............ Hmm so yea Jekyl, Hyde 70 80 90 I watched part of the '60 Hammer Horror "Two Faces of Jekyll and Hyde" that looked like the most interesting one, it being the first "R" one. Also caught the Michael Caine '90 "Jekyll & Hyde", he's always great, it was a little stuffy for me and the makeup a little too bubbbbbly

new year new home, hmm Caine in another jekyll and hyde? Do you have a preference for the older black and white ones? Personally I'd like to see a live play version of the story, that's where it might be best suited Imo
