Jimmy and Hedy tidbit

When they were making this movie back in 1941, Jimmy was a bit despondent cause he had tried to volunteer in the Air Force and was rejected in his physical. It turned out that he had to be a certain weight to qualify. ( just imagine how times have changed ..during that period you were rejected if you were underweight or overweight, you had flat feet, you were gay, and etc. ) It was obvious in his younger years he was tall and lanky. It was said that when Hedy heard this, she advised him to eat a lot of chocolate, and he did and he passed the next physical. I recall one tv interview that Barbara Walters had with him. She was mentioning all the beautiful co-stars he had made movies with and when she said Hedy Lamarr, that was the one name out of all of them, that he repeated with fondness.
