Released on vhs or dvd anywhere????

I can't find this movie anywhere; is there some type of copyright problem? I saw part of it years ago on tv but nowhere since. I remember the music was excellent. Does anyone know of a source? Or is it in public domain now?

The DVD has some nice special features included. There are cartoons and a couple of one-reelers from the era with jazz and blues music. Today we might call them music videos.

I know this is a really old thread, but if anyone is still looking for 'Blues in the Night' (and they live in the U.S.), it is currently available in HD on WARNER ARCHIVE INSTANT. This subscription streaming service is similar to Netflix, but it's a bunch of Warner Bros vault stuff & titles that WB currently owns the rights to. Many titles available to stream are out-of-print on disc or tape. It just started up in early 2013 and more movies are added every few weeks. $9.99 a month for an all-you-can-stream buffet! Pretty cool service for movie buffs. Lot's of classic titles. 2 week free trial. Check it out @:http://instant.warnerarchive.com/
