Poor Musician's (Slight Spoiler)

There were a few strange shots regarding the state the band or Jiggers were in. First off they have a dollar left yet they all seemed to eat pretty good at that first bar and grill....that's six meals and I think beers. Even in the 40's I doubt you could stretch a buck that far.

Later Jiggers leaves the band to play with the big band. He and that nasty girlfriend were only out a couple weeks (Mentioned in the movie) and she comes in wearing a big fur coat and jewelry like they made it big time. That's one hell of a gig.

Then in the end they're back to riding the rails. Did they gamble everything away at the Jungle? And the brake man said its been about a year since he saw them last. They had a steady gig all that time but no money to even ride in the passenger section.


One last item. The first time they road the rails. Wasn't it amazing how everyone had clean clothes, clean and shiny hair, and clean skin? Also: Remember that sweet faced blonde who was married and seemed to be such a nice girl? How do you suppose she took care of having to go to the bathroom while traveling? She couldn't just hang it out the doors like the guys, and doing it inside could get ripe fast...
