I've been wondering about that, too. It's a likely candidate for part of the Fox Studio Classics DVD collection, but I haven't heard about a release date yet. "The Mark Of Zorro" is coming out in a special edition (colorized) version on DVD, so it would seem logical that "Blood And Sand" would follow suit.
Keep your fingers crossed!!!

I checked on Amazon.com and they only have the movie in VHS. I wish there was some website where we could request a classic movie onto DVD

That's good to know. And it looks like it may be released commercially soon.

This is quite a coincidence. I'm visiting Florida right now. When I was here 2 1/2 years ago, I went to the City library (in Tampa) and I rented 7 movies for one week. ONE of those DVD's were BLOOD AND SAND, this 1941 version itself. I'd never seen it before. I had twice seen the Rudolph Valentino 1922 silent version. Beautiful movie, the 1941 version. Beautiful colors! I'm sure they still have it at the library. Don't know if it's out of print already but..... why not try Amazon.com or something??
