Billy the Kid was a very well known and documented person. In this movie (that is georgous to watch)except for Billy there are no real life Characters,this is not a true story, Jim Sherwood did not kill Bonney and he didn't die in Sedona.
Some real fact should hve been used.
I think it's safe to say this is just a western with the name of Billy The Kid thrown into the title just to make it a bigger draw. It obviously has nothing to do with real history at all, except for a few tidbits to ineffectively attempt to anchor it to the real outlaw: his initial emergence from Silver City as a wanted man, his presence in Lincoln County, and a pardon from the governor. Everything else is pure fiction.
