Vocal Groups in 'Sing While You Sell' Number

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that two excellent 40s vocal groups are featured in this number, almost lost in the huge chorus of singers and dancers. One is Six Hits and a Miss, who are in a number of Fox musicals (e.g. Down Argentine wat) and the other is the fine black quartet The Delta Rhythm Boys. The IMDB cast list does not mention either group, but are there any music people out there who can offer an informed opinion? Thanks!

BTW one poster on this movie did not know the name of the woman who sings the jazz version of Rock-a-Bye-Baby and of course it's Virginia O'Brien.

The main reason I came here was to find out her name. So, when I went to her page and it said that she was called "Miss Deadpan", I knew that was her. She almost steals the movie!
She reminds me a little of each of these modern-day actresses:
Lisa Kudrow, Bebe Neuwirth, and Alicia Witt.

That music must have been the most contemporary of the day.

Thanks! I went here to find out the name of the faboulous singer...

Six Hits and a Miss is listed in the expanded credits here on imdb. The Delta Rhythm Boys isn't, however The Four Dreamers singing group is. I don't know if this is the same group of if someone has incorrect information, but it's there. Perhaps it was added after you posted?

Thanks for the info on Virginia O'Brien. I came here looking to see who that was. Because she sings deadpan, I thought she might be Louis Prima's ex, but I'm wrong. That was Keely Smith (I think).

Her singing is what made the biggest impression on me in this whole entire movie!

Virginia O'Brian with her deadpan singing bit is gorgeous and hilarious - a deadly combo. I always jump for joy when I see her in a movie!

Curious statement. So many actresses of the past run rings around what passes for pretty today.

Virginia O'Brien was always fun to watch. She also did a number with Ray Bolger in The Harvey Girls.
