Old movies like this are always tainted for me because of the brutal treatment of the animals. That fall down the mountain was horrific and could have easily resulted in the broken legs or snapped neck of the horse. All for human's entertainment. Disgusting. I'm glad stunts like this are no longer allowed in American movies.

The treatment of the horses in this movie -- especially that mountain scene -- was disgusting. I cringe even seeing how hard they are ridden in the chases over rocky terrain. The sad fact is, that is probably how horses really were treated back in the day.
