Watched this just because of title.

I saw this on TCM recently and watched just only cause of the title. I was expecting a grim, noir policier, the type that RKO made in the late 40's early 50's.
Instead I get a pre-war WB programmer, a musical comedy, no less, disguised as a crime drama.
Unbelievable, corny, hackneyed storyline, but fun to watch.

The last shot at the end says it all: man gets girl, and horse, too.
