Retail jokes


This film is certainly not meant to be a realistic portrayal of work in a retail establishment, but there are a few lines that really nail some of the funnier and more frustrating aspects.

My favorite is this exchange:

Customer:How much is that belt in the window, the one that says 2.95?

Kralik: 2.95.

Customer: Oh, no!

I think The Shop Around the Corner does a great job of capturing what are timeless interactions between customers and shopkeepers. It's one of the funniest classic films I can think of.
