Mr. Matuschek's Wife

Was Mr. Matuschek's Wife really cheating on him? Or was it just a misunderstanding?

reply

She sure was, check out Vardash's reactions everytime her name is mentioned.

reply

The part about Stewart's character being involved was a misunderstanding.

The part about her having an affair with one of the employees was not.

reply

That was where Vadas was getting all the money, which Mrs. Matuschek got directly from her husband. Two of the most trusted in his circle were sleazy ratbags.

reply

She was cheating on him, but not with Kralik.

Mr. M suspected that she was carrying on with one of his employees. She was, but not with the man he suspected.

Actually, Mr Matuscheck got anonymous letters telling him his wife was cheating on him with one of his employees. He hired a private investigator to find out if it was true.
Meanwhile he suspected Mr Kralik because he had him invited for dinner.

reply

Yup, and I've always suspected Vadas of having written those letters, in order to put the blame on Kralik.

If so, he shot himself in the foot. Though putting a spotlight on the wife's infidelity would be the last thing he want to do. Much more likely it was a neighbour or such.

reply

My guess would've been that it was Pepi who wrote the anonymous letters. He was always running errands for Mrs. Matuschk after hours and probably saw the two of them at one point.

Jesus is the Son of God and my Lord and savior. Pretty cool.

reply

My guess is, if it had been Pepi, we would have been given a clue in his behaviour that he knew and disapproved.

But yes, he'd be the best candidate for credited cast having send them.
