Is That Jay Silverheels?

I am watching the 1940 Errol Flynn movie, "The Sea Hawk" today and spotted on the screen who I believe to be Jay Silverheels. He is not listed on the IMDB full cast for the movie or on his own page. There is a small talking part of a "native" who is thrown a coin by a Spanish soldier as payment for alerting the Spanish of the coming of the British. I swear it was Jay Silverheels, better known as Tonto from the Lone Ranger TV series. There is an uncredited actor by the name of Harry Silversmith noted as a "native" on the full cast list. Could this really have been Jay Silverheels? If it is not, it has to be his twin brother. There is no listing for any other movie credit for Harry Silversmith. Can anyone help?

Further investigation has shown that Jay Silverheels' birth name was Harold J. Smith and that he used an alternate name of Harry Smith. It is therfore easy to conclude that the actor listed on the full cast list as "Harry Silversmith" was, in fact, Jay Silverheels.

Yes he had a bit part in The Sea Hawk. His acting career began in 1938 first with bit parts in films.

If you check the "Captain From Castile" ('47) board, there's a full cast list which includes Silverheel's name (he plays Coatl). The full filmography you can link to includes his performance as an "uncredited Native" in "The Sea Hawk".

Jeez, that was well spotted!

Never would have picked it.

Someone apparently made the correction; Jay Silverheels is in the cast.
