Excellent Dialogue

If you listen to the words each of the characters are saying, it is a very literate script. I read that there was a dispute between Koch and Miller on who should get credit. I don't know who wrote the majority of the clever lines but I have to say the lines were packed with wonderful ideas about power and humankind. Throughout the history of the movies (up to and including today), it is unusual for an action picture to actually have something to say.

This positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms!Terry-Thomas about US 1963.Hasnt changed much!

Yes to all the above. If you happen to be infantile. It was a boring little flick.

reply

I suppose that a picture as visually rich and so literately written as THE SEA HAWK would be, understandably, beyond the appreciation of someone with a user ID that suggests a juvenile bathtub toy.

Most great films deserve a more appreciative audience than they get.

"It was a boring little flick."
