Queen Lizzie was kind of hot

I don't know why after watching this a third time I thought the queen was rather good looking, I don't know why? Also I like Brenda Marshall she's not the same as Olivia, but I think Brenda is a REAL babe although Olivia is nothing to sneeze at.

Eeeeeeah...I don't know why either, she is rather homely. They could (and did) have a million pounds worth of fur and jewelry on her but as they say you can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear.

Dame Flora Robson was the best actor in the film and she did have a nice smile. Now don't say on second thought maybe it was the monkey that was kind of hot. (<:

Brenda Marshall is better looking than Olivia and better fit the role of a Spanish princess or whatever she was more than Olivia DeH. IMO.

Flora--a smile and personality that could light all of London for a month.

Brenda--nice sweater puppets.

Maybe it's because she looks a lot like Helen Mirren and Helen Mirren in her day was ultra hot, so your brain kept making the association?

OP has good taste in women. Flora wasn't pretty, but she had a certain exotic appeal. Like things would happen when she was around.

Guaili, thank you for your comment - I kept wondering who she reminded me of! I think men could find Robson attractive not only for her smile but because of her mind and her knowing ways. The only thing "spoiling" her face would be her nose. Nowadays, she might have been talked into getting a nose job before she became famous.

This positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms!Terry-Thomas about US 1963.Hasnt changed much!

Flora Robson was clearly not a beauty, at least in any conventional sense. but the OP imo is onto something here. She had a smile that seemed to say not only that she knows something more than you might otherwise think, but also that she knows full well how it requires those seeing it to take it into account, making her seem much more complex than otherwise. There is in fact a certain eroticism in it and, at times, in her manner and movements. Hm. An otherwise plain woman who succeeds in suggesting the erotic. How interesting.
