I think it's filmed in Monterey and Pacific Grove. In scenes at cafe, I think that's the Hediondo Cannery in the background. The motorcycle scene could have been filmed at Seaside, perhaps Carmel. If I'm correct, we're looking at scenes of the area at the same time as the setting for Steinbeck's Cannery Row and Sweet Thursday.
