Did anyone else not understand the Russian puppet in I Got No Strings

As a kid I thought she was speaking Russian and I rewatched this with a friend recently and when the Russian doll sings her bit we thought the same until the "but I rather go with you" line which we thought was pretty odd since the other two sang in English but we looked up the lyrics and she is singing in English.

Anyone else as a kid or even now have the same thing. Was it the accent or the sound was off or something.

Also side note: it was pretty ballsy of Disney to do that whole can can number with the French puppets especially as they flash the audience their underwear at the end. Good on them though for keeping in the tradtional can can style sexual symbolism and all, dedication to the craft that is.
