Villains in Pinocchio

Did anybody else notice how none of the villains in the film seem to get any sort of comeuppance? Was this a purposeful decision made by Disney (or perhaps Collodi) or was it just kind of forgotten? If it was purposeful, what does it say about the film?

I don't think they're villains in the sense of antagonist. Stromboli and the Fox and Monstro are just obstacles/hurdles characters. I don't know everything about Bildungsromane (plural in German of Roman--novel)but it seems some nasty characters serve as an chapter villain who may or may not be punished. The protagonist moves on to new adventures and new villains. I see the conflict as blockhead versus blockhead. Pinocchio's undoing is his stupidity and unwillingness to learn (metaphorical wooden head. immaturity)

The Coachman getting off the hook was really twisted.

Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Metallica watch My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

If any villains in this movie should have gotten their comeuppance it should have been him. He was the most evil villain in the movie.

Sometimes people get away with stuff. You never see the kids after they leave Pleasure Island. You never see what happens to the villains, and it is suggested that this happens all the time.

It's kind of like in Bambi when the hunters get away with shooting his mom.
Or how the Queen of Hearts gets away with being a bully in Alice in Wonderland.
