Wow. Obviously there was no such thing as political correctness in 1940. Quite refreshing actually.

Actually, given the expression represented by Fields' euphemism, he WAS being pc!

It'd make a good headline--"PLAYBOY KILLS WIFE WITH CHAMPAGNE CORK!"
