This Movie's Major blooper

I like how at the point where they are discussing how horrible a death Kharis suffered because he was buried alive, the professor tells his companion to touch the Mummy's face. After being told that Kharis' skin feels like living tissue, the professor says that this is the best example of embalming he's ever seen.

This begs the question of how someone can be buried alive and embalmed at the same time?

He was definitely not embalmed. The scene clearly shows he was buried alive as punishment. When the professor said that he didn't know the true story and assumed he was embalmed.
