ward bond interrogation


There is a shot of Bond's character as he's interrogating and intimidating the young girl.

He's shot and lit from under his face and his skin is glistening with moisture.
I flashed to the Gestapo official in Raiders of The Lost Ark, when he's going to interrogate Marion.

Shooting a face with light from underneath I'm sure dates well back to silent film, but I thought the sweat part was interesting. I can't think of other examples of this effect, and I wonder if employing it for the Gestapo agent was borrowed from this film.

I noticed the lighting from below in a Twilight Zone episode. It makes the scene more sinister and adds to the sense of impending doom.
