This film is based on the novel 'The Private Practice of Michael Shayne'

The "experts" in one of the documentaries on the DVD claim this is based on Brett Halliday's first Michael Shayne novel, "Dividend on Death." It is not. It is based on the second Shayne novel, "The Private Practice of Michael Shayne." The IMDb credits are wrong, too.
