This movie is obscure

My local library doesn't have a copy and they have access to thousands of films. I wish TCM would show this and I could tape it. I thought Pat O'Brian was excellent which is not unusual and RR did a terrific job as the Gipper. One of my favorites.

Hopefully you watched tonite. TCM had the movie on tonite between 8-10pm. I have never seen it before and liked it a lot.

yea. I had to hunt this movie down and ask my library to get it. Why does no one have it? It's a really good movie! They don't even sell it at the Notre Dame bookstore!

As a matter of fact there's going to be a DVD release of this on August 15th, courtesy of Warner, along with four other Ronald Reagan films: "Kings Row", "The Hasty Heart", "The Winning Team", and "Storm Warning".

it's playing on TCM in the next week or so, I forget what day

It's also available from Netflix.

Part of its charm is that it's not a particularly well done film. Maybe it was the best they could do in 1940, but it's pretty hokey.
