Could this movie be just about bakers and financiers?

Let's say if this movie wasn't made by Nazis or antisemites and there was no word "Jew" in the title. This exact same movie with the same story and script could be just a movie about warning society of the power and corruption of bakers, and what can happen/did happen in history if we give them too much power. Further, if society had not been conditioned to look for antisemitism, the main character could even still (happen to) be a Jew, as many perhaps even majority of bankers were in those times.

My point is this movie itself isn't so bad, it's just who made it, for what purpose and how we (in accordance with our conditioning) interpret it. The message it can leave didn't have to be so bad. If it was not for the intended racism and hate against an entire ethnic group it would have been a good movie.

Even if we did take away the word Jew and it was made by someone else, ultimately the film is riddled with antisemitic cliches and allusions. For example, his ability to deceive his appearance or the faith's roots in mysticism. In this case you would have to completely redo the script because it's message is how evil Jews are.

However, I still think the film is fantastic in it's ability to promote antisemitism. The best propaganda films are those that are so entertaining you don't realize the message getting shoved down your throat. I am far from antisemitic, but the film was entertaining, offensive and horrendous, but entertaining nonetheless.

There’s no one on IMDB I care enough for to use spell check- suck it grammar Nazis
