Margaret Lindsay

Some great acting done by Margaret Lindsay here, and I have to say, wow, she fills out her dress very nicely! A real beauty. Makes you wonder, why aren't there any real women like her around today?

What a creepy and tasteless comment about an actress who would be over one hundred if she were alive today. Yes, she was pretty. So what? What most impresses about her appearance in "House of the Seven Gables" is her convincing acting, specifically her effective transition from a radiant girl to a sullen, middle aged, embittered woman.

Thanks for that. I did praise her acting, and what difference does it make what her age would be? There was nothing "creepy or tasteless" in my comment, Margaret was a real beauty, emphasizing real.

bill3-1, you're right. Whatever Margaret Lindsay's age would be today is completely irrelevant. And her prettiness (including how she filled out her dress) was important to the role, not a "so what". A real woman, as you point out. There was absolutely nothing creepy or tasteless about your comment.
