Did he just say, 'Penis today, thinker tomorrow'?

What does the narrator (Chaplin) say when Hynkel is driving back home from his first speech down the street? They pass a statue and it sounds like Chaplin is making fun of the small penis on these statues (though the statue in the film is clothed).

That's VENUS, with a "V," and "of today," with her arm raised in salute to Hynkel, not like that old Greek version that has no arms at all.

This was on TCM today and I watched with my 12 year old son, he also heard penis. I heard Venus.

Make your own mind up, at 22 minutes (http://s.coop/1tfnm) - sounds like Penis to me too, even after several listens.

it is "Venus". The best thing about it is that "Thinker" is shown in a later scene with one of his arms replaced.

Haha, it sounded like "penis" to me as well, but then I noted the visual component of the gag.
