Final speech scene is making the rounds

I have never seen this film but the final speech scene is being floated around the internet on Facebook, and perhaps other places too. Not sure of the reason, but it is a strong stirring speech in it's own right. Are people seeing parallels between then and now ? I welcome any thoughts...
