Some of the best gags......

Despite what others say about "Go West", it remains one of my firm favourites.

(I must admit to having a liking for trains....especially steam trains, so the whole tearing-the-train-to-pieces for the firewood always cracks me up...)

However, here are some of my favourite gags from the film:

At the Railroad Station, in the beginning...

Chico and Harpo want to buy a ticket, but have no money.

Chico: "All-a we wanna know is where's-a the train?"
Groucho: "It's out on the tracks....It seldom comes in here..."

Later, in the Saloon...

Groucho, dressed as 'two-gun Quale' has trouble keeping his gun belt around his waist.

Groucho: "How they handle all this and ride a horse at the same time is beyond me!"

And, later still at the Indian Reservation...

A three-way shot of the Chief, Groucho and Chico...

Groucho: "Who swindled you out of Manhattan Island for twenty four dollars?"
Chico: "White Man."
Groucho: "Who turned you into wood and stood you outside of a Cigar-Store?"
Chico: "White Man."
Groucho: "Who put your head on a nickle, then took the nickle away?"
Chico: "Slot machine."

To the Chief...

Groucho: "If you're a real Red Man, lemme hear you recite 'The Song of Hiawatha' by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow..."
Chief: "Ugh!"
Chico: "Is that it?"
Groucho: "If it is, they've shortened it a bit since I went to school!"

AND...

Following an unintelligible exchange between the Chief and Harpo, which ends with them both laughing, and slapping each other on the back:
Groucho: "You know, it's stimulating when two giant intellects get together!"

That's a few that I can remember, and ALWAYS crack me up.

If anyone wants to add more, please feel free....
