Go West is great, no!?!?!?!
Who likes this period!
I think this was the first Marx film I saw and I loved it ever since.
I mean I went on to "discover", in rough order, A Night at the Opera (1935), Duck Soup (1933), Animal Crackers (1930), Horse Feathers (1932), A Night in Casablanca (1946), At the Circus (1939), Monkey Business (1931), A Day at the Races (1937), The Big Store (1941), The Coconuts (1929) when I was about 12ish - 15ish.
and finally Room Service (1938) about three years ago when I was 20.
I am 23 now and still regard "Go West" (1940) as the start of it all for me.
I love this film and it will always be near and dear to me, I know every line and still laugh at the gags.
I am watching it right now as a matter for the fact.
Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang.....there's your seventy...don't bother counting it.....bang, bang, bang.....
hilarious
They are a big part why I went into film.
"I can see a light burning in the window"
"No you can't, the gas company turned it off"
