Danny Kaye part of cast?
Thought I saw him in this movie, but he's not on the cast list.
shareJust saw the movie on TCM, and he doesn't have a speaking part. There are lots of extras, so he could have been one of them. The title isn't on his IMDB page, and his first full-length movie credit wasn't until 1944.

I believe you are referring to El Brendel, playing Olaf Larson, with the bad Swedish accent. When he's in the "play within the play" in light colored overalls, he does, indeed, look like Danny Kaye and, of course, Danny Kaye often used hokey accents in his performances.
