Eerie image of Hitler in the movie

I thought this was some proto-cubist painting of Hitler until our hero creeps into the shot. You can clearly see Hitler facing left, right arm extended with what looks like an arm band, left hand gripping an arm rail, flat hair, comb mustache, collared shirt with straight tie, as if during one of his famous orations.

I found this extremely eerie—all we're seeing are shadows of wooden pegs inside the mill, a doorframe, and low contrasted men standing about.

I saw it too! Knowing the way Hitchcock crafts his films this was no accident.
