Vista Theatre

One of the scenes has the cops chasing some suspects past the Vista Theatre in Los Angeles, which is showing a double bill of "Abe Lincoln in Illinois" and "Waterloo Bridge". "Lincoln" was released on 04/19/40 and "Waterloo" was released on 05/17/40. "Doomed" was released on 08/12/40. That gives you some idea of how quickly Monogram could get their product on screen. The Vista, by the way is just around the corner from the old Monogram lot and is still in business today...
