The never made sequel

..Pity PRC didn't make it. The film would have been called "The Devil Bat's Revenge". It would have been released in early 1942.

With the beginning of the war the axis powers where wrecking havoc worldwide.
At the time the war dept was looking for a way to minimize casualties while defeating those who would put everyone at risk...no matter what it entailed!

As it turns Dr. Carruthers was NOT killed at the end of the first film but was critically injured. He was taken to hospital where he was slowly recovering from his near fatal wounds. Carruthers knew that once he was nursed back to health he would be put on trial for multiple murders...Not an encouraging prognosis!

The war dept dispatches two agents to visit Carruthers. The agents make the good doctor an offer he can't refuse: "Come work for us or face the gas chamber"....Needless to say Carruthers goes to work for the government raising new "Devil Bats" for the war effort.

The government's plan is to sic the bats on the heads of the axis powers, Hitler Mussolini and Tojo. Carruthers is to be dropped into the various axis nations to get close enough to his quarry to "sell" them on his special after shave lotion.
Johnny and One Shot are drafted and wind up with the good doctor.
They arrive in Italy and have an audience with Mussolini - he loves the fragrance! That night, arrivaderchi Il Duce!

The next stop is Germany and an audience with Adolph. Ol 'Dolph isn't much for aftershave but agrees to try it and take a few bottles as gifts for Himmler Goering and Gobbles...Carruthers chortles with joy! "Aufwedierzein" says the fuhrer.......Carruthers grins and says: "GOOD BYE!".......Next stop Japan!

The trio next arrives in Tokyo, made up to look Japanese....They have an audience with General Tojo who is grateful for the gift and thanks them profusely. Carruthers nearly throws out his back after bowing several times upon leaving. The good doctor leaves the general an extra bottle with a card attached: "To the emperor from your pal Toj". Sayonarra!

Within days the papers are hearlding the "bizarre deaths" of the axis dictators, saying they died in "violent and unknown manners"........The war will be shortened by years!

Upon returning to the US. Carruthers, Johnny and One Shot have an audience with FDR who lavishes the highest awards in the land on the three heroes, thanking them for a "job well done".

Johnny and One Shot stay in the military, working for Stars and Stripes covering the bar scene in London. Carruthers becomes head of his own scientific institute...developing the concept of a bat-burger fast food franchise for the post war era.

Well I did make a disclaimer.
I often do that with films.
If you've ever seen "The Human Monster" or it's UK title: "Dead Eyes of London" (1939) I did a fun sequel idea there as well.
It's called "Jake's Commandos" - about an army of blind beggars led by Jake that are loosed on the Nazis with interesting results.

LOL! A riot!

I really do like your sequel ideas. It would be most interesting to see them worked up into a film -or a novelization at the very least. You make great use of the plots and characters, taking them in logical directions that could be extensions of what they were in the original films.

I try thank you but I don't have the resources to do anything with them.

My imagination and nothing else.

Do you really think so?
I thought I made it clear.......

Hey, I really like the idea. I could definitely see a sequel unfolding along those lines. You have a great imagination, and I'll bet you would make a good writer.

10 years after your suggestion there is a sequel being made. And it has the title that you suggested. 'Revenge of the Devil Bat.' But it's not set in 1942. It is being set in the modern day. I'm now going onto the new film's page so I can grab the first topic on there.
