Same building shot used in Baby Face

After Danny Kenny wins the important fight that sets him up for a title shot Googi comes into the locker room to congratulate him on his victory. He then invites him to a big party. There is this shot that climbs up a tall building to the penthouse balcony area and into the party scene. Shortly after Lily and Trenholm returned to New York from Paris in the pre-code film Baby Face seven years earlier with Barbara Stanwyck and George Brent towards the end of that movie the same identical shot of the same building appears.

They were both Warner Bros. pictures so it must have been some cost saving measure to use a previous shot that had been created for Baby Face again for City For Conquest that seemed to fit the situation. The shot in Baby Face is about 1:01:32 on the timeline of that film and the same shot was about 41:26 into the timeline of City For Conquest. Isn't it amazing what a detail-oriented mind can notice? I wonder if any movie goers during that era ever took note of this discovery I made.
