The Book (Spoilers)

City for Conquest is in my top ten of favorite movies. I finally bought the book and it's incredible how different the book is from the movie.

The book tells numerous NY stories. Danny and Peggy are Joey and Isabella. Googi doesn't die. Danny's brother is Bert and he's a playwright not a composer. Mutt (Frank McHugh) is the first character introduced on page one and never heard from again.

There's Elmer Hicks who kills his father for his land. It's his apartment house where Danny and family is housed.

Ena, Peter, Perry, Donovan, and a host of others that comprise the ants searching to conquer the greatest city in the world.

Great book. But, the movie is better.
