Drama-comedy has a certain charm

I thought this movie was a pleasant way to spend a lazy afternoon. Not a brilliant film, but kept me entertained enough.
I am continually impressed how Bogart played villains or heroes with equal believability! In fact, I can't think of another actor who could and did during their career.

Charm indeed;

I enjoyed it too, mainly for Robinson. When he's confronted by the other monks about hiring a youngster to do his garden work, it's a brilliant and heartfelt scene. Some wonderful work there in an unusual role.
