Although not credited, I can't help wondering who provided the clarinet for the incredible Begin the Beguine dance routine by Powell and Astaire. Might it have been Artie Shaw or was it it simply a studio orchestra support? Just curious!

Artie Shaw and his band were one of the most popular in the country at the time. Had he, or they, been in the movie, they would have been shown close-up enough to be recognized, and would have been featured in the credits. The band in the movie consisted of studio musicians imitating the arrangement and style of the hit recording by Shaw and his orchestra.
