Soundtrack messed up?

That's what I was thinking! It sounds like the orchestra is just warming up their instruments, before a performance ... except a lot worse. It is, without a doubt, the dreariest miasma of soundtrack I have ever heard. In the credits, Alfred Newman, among others, is named. I know that Newman didn't compose the oppressive mudpit of a mess of incidental music that infects this movie, so he probably wanted to take his name off of it.
