I'm glad I DVRed this.
I'm about twenty minutes into it and it's wonderfully whacky.
Shirley is actually a pretty good actress. She was such a little witch in the early scenes!

Highly recommended for people who like movies that are totally nuts, i.e. quirky, fun, entertaining and only 80 minutes. Shirley Temple is a delight as is Gale Sondergaard as a cat who gets turned into a human. Sondergaard playing a cat is almost as much fun as Frank McHugh pretending to be a cat in Footlight Parade.
