The Chasing Cars - SPOILER

Director Edward Cline is credited by IMDb with the success of that final chase scene. It looked like it could have been extremely dangerous for cast and crew, but each segment must have been thoroughly worked out in advance to minimize risk to all the people involved. Cline had a long period of work in silent films in which to hone his skills.

Cinematographer Milton Krasner - also with long experience in B/W filming - is also a stand-out for creating the beautifully dangerous scenes.
