slight quibble

Just like to point out that the S.S. Athenia incident happened between Rockall and Tory Island, so why in the film do they say "The Hebrides in Ireland" when we all know The Hebrides are Scotland? A small quibble in an otherwise mediocre film.

"...an otherwise mediocre film" - are you nucking futz?! And your one quibble is some minor geographical misplacement that has no relevance otherwise to the film's overall story, tone, etc.?

What, do you watch "Casablanca" and bitch about someone smoking a brand of cigarettes that wasn't available in North Africa at the time and think that that ruins the film?

Whoa calm down. You need to climb back into your pram and find your pacifier.

I did say a slight quibble, it's no big deal.

But even setting this aside, it's still a mediocre film.

Casablanca, btw is a superb movie and I'm sure there's goofs in it. But it's still superb.

I'm with you, Thunderwing13: This film is mediocre at best, a dreary romantic comedy with some awkwardly written dramatic scenes and the inevitable forced resolution. I'll give this 6/10.

Plus, you like Marc Bolan, which is cool.

And of course we all know the Hebrides are in Scotland ... now, at least.

Well, Arise, My Love does make for a very good film, which, of course, is a matter of opinion.

But the quibble is legitimate because the site is open to spotting bloopers and goofs.

And now, of course, we appreciate learning our geography lesson, that the Hebrides are part of Scotland even though Augusta's boat is rescued in Ireland.

Either the writers were paying too much attention to Prince Valiant, which may have added to the confusion, or else there must have been a remote Hebride in the midst of the mist.
